Graduated from the University of Tokyo. Majored in agricultural mechanical engineering.

At university, he conducted research on vibration control of truck vehicles. He transferred the business of an AI venture he founded while still in school.

He then established “TRUST SMITH Co.,Ltd.” and currently leads the robotics business as the CEO of the company.

Graduated with a master’s degree in from the University of Tokyo. Former JSPS Research Fellow (DC1).

Formerly the youngest Principal Investigator of the Japan Science and Technology Agency’s drone research project in Japan.

Inventor of several patents related to robotics and medical devices. At RENATUS ROBOTICS, responsible for the development of RENATUS CORTEX.

As the founding CTO of Smart Robotics, he has delivered a total of over 100 robots in 7 years and subsequently selling the company through M&A.

He has experience in designing and developing logistics AMR, the industry’s first special drone, robots for construction sites, in-vehicle testing equipment, and IoT devices from the system stage and introducing them to the field.

Kei has +10 years of experience in corporate strategy, corporate finance, FP&A, investor relations, corporate governance, auditing, etc.

Prior to RENATUS ROBOTICS, he served in a corporate management role at Shizen Energy Inc., a global developer of renewable energy. He also served as Head of Corporate Strategy at Digital Garage, Inc., an internet incubator, where he led mid-term planning, capital and business allegiance, fund-raising, and investor relations, corporate governance, etc. for over 9 years.

He was a board member of New Context Services, Inc. a San Francisco-based startup. He was a corporate auditor of EDOCODE Inc., a Japanese startup.

Kei holds an M.B.A. from Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.

Graduated from the Graduate School of Engineering, Kyoto University.

At university, he conducted research on thermal environment control in buildings and received the Young Scientist Presentation Award at the national conference of the Architectural Institute of Japan.

At TRUST SMITH, he was in charge of all corporate matters, including human resources and finance. Drove the financing of 110 million yen in loans only.

Prior to RENATUS ROBOTICS, Shuji was involved in the planning, design, installation, and maintenance of material handling equipment at the Labor-Saving Machinery division of Sanki Engineering Co., Ltd. He served as Executive Officer and Managing Director of the Machinery Systems Division in 2008 and as Chief Engineer in 2012. Shuji has also served as technical advisor for Japan’s leading ceramic wall material manufacturer and a furniture & interior manufacturing retailer.

“Oil is the lifeblood of machinery” is his motto as a mechanical engineer.

A graduate of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley.

He is a Japanese American who has spent over 20 years in the U.S. (the last 5 years in Silicon Valley).

He has experience introducing new equipment and improving in-factory logistics at semiconductor manufacturing plants in the U.S. He has also worked for a U.S. semiconductor company.
